Jinko Solar, Vinci Boost Ivory Coast Solar

Key Figures & Findings:  Jinko Solar, one of the world’s largest solar module manufacturers, has secured a major supply contract for the Ferke Solar Power Plant project in Ivory Coast. Awarded by Vinci Energies CI, the EPC contractor, the project is being developed by PFO Energies, a subsidiary of PFO Africa. Located on a 70-hectare site in Ferkessédougou, approximately 230 kilometers north of Bouaké, the plant marks a significant step in West Africa’s renewable energy development. Jinko Solar will supply its high-performance N-type TopCon Tiger Neo modules, known for their efficiency and durability under Africa’s high-temperature, high-radiation conditions.

Statistics & Insights: The 52.42 MWp Ferke Solar plant will integrate 74,644 pieces of Jinko Solar’s Tiger Neo modules (model JKM715-66HL5-BDV). The project is expected to support Ivory Coast’s renewable energy goals by boosting grid capacity with clean, sustainable energy.

Future Implications: If commissioning proceeds as scheduled by 2026, the Ferke project could play a major role in strengthening sustainable infrastructure and reducing carbon emissions in Ivory Coast and the broader West African region. It may also open further regional opportunities for Jinko Solar's advanced module technology.
