Scatec Expands Botswana Solar Push
Key Figures & Findings: Scatec ASA, a leading renewable energy provider, has begun commercial operation of the second 60 MW phase of the Mmadinare Solar Cluster, its first project portfolio in Botswana. The cluster operates under a 25-year PPA with Botswana Power Corporation, ensuring long-term revenue stability as the country scales up utility-scale solar. Scatec currently owns 100% of the portfolio but intends to invite additional equity partners as part of its long-term investment strategy.
