Soleos, Melci Launch 200MW Solar Project
Key Figures & Findings: Soleos Energy, is a company specializing in solar energy solutions and various aspects of solar project development, including engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), financing, insurance, and operations and maintenance (O&M) in partnership with Melci Holdings, a South African investment firm focused on renewable energy and infrastructure projects. has announced a $200 million solar photovoltaic project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This solar initiative, which is to be located in the Kipushi territory of Haut-Katanga, aims to provide clean, sustainable energy to over one million people in the region. Soleos Energy’s CEO, Dhaval Jiyani, highlighted the project’s importance in addressing the region's energy demand and its potential to support local economic growth through job creation and environmental benefits.
