Zambia, Echo Eight Target 5GW

Key Figures & Findings: Zambia's Energy Minister, Makozo Chikote, has invited UK-based Echo Eight Investments Limited to establish clean energy operations in Zambia. The proposal aims to deploy up to 5,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy within six months of receiving the necessary approvals. Echo Eight, founded by David Green, plans to install solar, hybrid, and advanced storage systems, including patented 3D solar technologies and rooftop wind units. This initiative aligns with Zambia's long-term energy target of 9,000 MW.
